Hello and welcome to the first newsletter of the year and what a year its going to be. By the time you are reading this I am far away ….. yeap I am in America. I am going to see the world’s biggest Crystal/Mineral Festival at Tucson and before feasting my eyes on this show I will be visiting an older show – The Quartzite Crystal Show, this is really for rockhounds and people who get pleasure from finding and showing off their treasures. They also will part with some of them, now this could be interesting – I wonder what the criterion is? No seriously only joking, it will be really interesting to see all the miles of tables with all those glorious crystals on them. Well I have been wanting to go to this show for six years now …… and I’ll be like a big kid completely and utterly in my element J

Now to get back on track a bit, Christmas period was pretty busy in many respects for us, we spent time with family. Yeap, some of Erika’s relatives are over here for a visit and we cooked a huge turkey for them …. What a day that was – hot, sticky and busy. The kitchen was pretty warm, and yes we did the full Christmas dinner. This was a first for them as they normally have Ham with bread, so having the works with all the vegetables, roast spuds etc. was an eye opener …. But am pleased to say all plates were well empty and that full smile on most faces. It was quite interesting watching their tentative approach to the food, but once they started it was all on?

We also had time to visit the Orewa Fair and caught up with a few friends and Sue Nicolson, she gave an hour talk and was signing her book …. Great day was had by all. It was another beautiful sunny day and everybody was a smiling J

Firstly we are proud to be the distributor outside of Hungary for the amazing and truly advanced Med_Colour Quartz Crystal Light & Colour Acupuncture device. I have been using it for three years now – now that’s another story but I’ll elaborate a tad for you. We were about to go to Hungary to carry on with the improvements to our little home away from home and just before we left I had the same dream three nights on the trot. It was to combine Crystal / Light & Colour to a wand, with my background as an engineer I naturally thought spirit was pushing me a bit to build it. Well thought nothing more of it … well not all the time that’s for sure … other things of more importance on my plate so to speak. Anyways off we goes to Hungary and we were staying with our friend – Kristina to go to the Budapest Mineral International Expo … I was quite looking forward to that. So the day arrived and oft we went, we had just got in there and I had spotted some amazing Hungarian Opal on a stand and was bee lining for that, so Erika and Kristina bumbled of down another isle. Then 5 minutes later Erika came back to me and said come with me – now I was really engrossed in this Opal, it was a bit bigger than a tennis ball and very deep dark colours with flashes of red/green and blue … wow!!!!

So reluctantly of I went with her and she pointed at this stand …. Yeap you guessed it there was my dream. After talking and playing the wand for quite a while I managed to get the i9nventors name and number. So to cut a long story down a bit, we went and met Antal Tiszold, he was quite a character – a Crystal Healer and Inventor of this wonderful device. I naturally bought one and bought it back, with no English documentation I add??? J His words through Erika were he will naturally now what to do and he must experiment. So I did and last year when we went back again I decided that the world outside Hungary has to see this device. It is sold purely to professionals in Hungary, but with the new manuals (with over 115 different treatments from Parkinson’s Disease to the common cold) and documentation, all done through a French professor acupuncture expert, various hospitals and institutes I am offering it to everybody. It will be backed by an 0800 support line and free training workshops.

Hematite

Is the most common stone of iron oxide and is an energizer of the physical body, but its primary use is for grounding. It can be a brittle stone and is used in some jewellery for its wonderful silver sheen. Wearing or holding a piece of Hematite will bring most people’s awareness back to the body and the present almost instantly.

Jet

Similar to coal Jet is fossilized wood. Like amber, jet produces static electricity when rubbed. This lightweight dark brown or shiny black gemstone exhibits grounding properties associated with its colour and the supportive, balancing qualities of the original source, trees.

USING JET TO ENERGIZE THE CHAKRAS

Jet placed by the lower spine energizes the base chakra. When placed higher up the body it can draw energy from the base into those areas. Jet is valuable in chakra balancing, particularly if the upper chakras are under-energized when compared to the lower centres. Indications of this sort of imbalance are: plenty of energy and drive, but inability to use it creatively; confusion; frustration.

1.       Place grounding stones under the feet and between the legs. At the groin points, use two black or red stones to stabilize the base chakra.

2.       Place Jet on under-energized areas and check after a few minutes if the balance is better.

3.       Repeating this regularly for five minutes at a time will help to alleviate imbalance.

Magnetite & Lodestone

Another iron ore, magnetite has the highest proportion of iron to be found in any mineral, making it very important commercially. Magnetite forms metallic grey octahedral crystals. Lodestone is the name given to the magnetic ore in its massive crystalline form. Lodestone and Magnetite are extremely useful healing tools. They can align the chakras and subtle bodies allowing rapid release of stress and tension. Because of their composition of iron and oxygen and because they have a strong magnetic field, magnetite and lodestone both help to align us with the earth’s own electromagnetic fields. This has a very grounding effect and brings an increased sense of belonging and security. The many energies along the spine can be strengthened by either placing a small lodestone at the base chakra and another at the base of the skull, or moving the same slowly up the spinal column, keeping it a few centimetres from the body.

Garnet – stone of fire

A large and chemically diverse group of stones, garnets come in a variety of colours and the most popular is a rich-wine red colour. Garnets form at very high temperatures in many different rocks, often in those altered by close proximity to volcanic activity. As it is a hard mineral, garnet survives erosion and is found in riverbeds and gravels. There are many green, orange and brown garnets but the red varieties are the most useful in crystal healing work. Garnet is the finest energizing stone for the body. Especially when cut, it can amplify and energize the properties of other stones. Cut faceted stones of most crystals increase the liveliness of the stone and can act like a lens, focussing light and energies with more intensity.  

The fiery garnet can be placed wherever a lack of energy exists. It can act as a ‘starter motor’ for the bodies repair mechanisms, so very often garnet needs to be in place for just a short while to do its work. Where there is an area of under active or stagnant energy, place a garnet at centre of the body and surround it with four clear quartz crystals, points facing outwards, to help increase energy and distribute it.
